I could put the infinity symbol on my jersey under Selanne's name. That would work. (Given that's its also a Metis symbol, which might go over well.)

I saw your caveats on the other thread, and I was half tongue-in-cheek. But it would be a better jersey message than Yakupov, no?

And you're right. Little is a big hole on a team with two second lines... (and no real first line)

Yea for sure. As much as I'd love to have a Yakupov, I don't think we are one of the worst teams to actually acquire him in the draft. My sights are set high on the playoffs so I hope we don't acquire him, lol.

To be honest, after last year's draft I'm less concerned about where we pick, as it seems we've got decent scouting. Unless we just got lucky with Sheifele (and of course we don't know exactly how he'll pan out), but it sure seems like an astute pick so far. Here's to hoping that continues in drafts to come!

That being said, you think Tanner Pearson is going to be a top pick next year? He and Scheifele are dominating together in Barrie. Pearson has 66 points in 30 games now and leads the OHL I believe.

I'm no prospect expert like some on this site, but I couldn't see Pearson cracking the top 15-20. Being a year older puts him behind the other guys, but still, leading the OHL in scoring could get him in the first round or early in the second. I think it would be worth it for the Jets to try to snag him if possible. The Barrie connection on that team would be crazy. Little, Burmistrov, Scheifele, Telegin and possibly Pearson

Apparently Pavelec called out the team after the loss to the Isles for not playing like they need. I think good on him, because he has been playing his bag off for them the past few weeks and hes won them some games they have had no right being in. And getting the shutout the game after is icing on the cake. Can't call people out then lay an egg of a game right after. Hope it was a little wake up call for them and this good run continues.

NOW JUST LEARN HOW TO WIN A GAME ON THE ROAD!

Jets played great last night and won 4-0 against the slumping Habs. Pavelec was great again in net and got his third shutout on the season. Blake Wheeler had his best game of the season scoring twice and assiting on one.

The Jets are officially in a playoff spot!!!

Tonight is going to be huge as the Jets are on home ice against the Penguins. If the Jets can win tonight they will have a ton of confidence going into the Christmas break. I really think the Jets have to win this one, not only to make a statement, but to start getting to the next level. We can't do what the Thrashers did in years past. Getting into a spot but holding it for a few days at most before slumping. We have a good team with all players contributing now. Now it's time to build a streak up and make a run at Florida for the lead.

I'm sick of this inconsistency. No effort tonight outside of the 1st period where they couldn't execute on wide open nets/ chances galore.

L, W, L, W, OTL, W, L... going into the break.

Merry Christmas.

Great road win for the Jets in Colorado.

Kane scored twice and now has 17 on the season. He was also a post and a robbery away from a hat trick.

Pavelec played phenominal in net again.

Evander Kane! Evander Kane! Game winning goal in ooooooooooovertime! The Jets win 1-0 in overtime as Kane scores his 18th of the season.

Major props to Chris Mason, played a helluva game in net and really kept the Jets in it with top notch saves.

The Jets continue to move up in the playoff ranks! GO JETS GO!

Notes:
-Little is still out of the lineup with an injury
-Byfuglien missed his second consecutive game with an injury. Byfuglien also became a father last night.
-Patrice Cormier made his Jets debut.
