I was lucky enough to have worked 3 COOP work terms here and worked part-time (sometimes) during school. They fired a site superintendent during my last work term and threw me on site to wrap up the job. It was mainly finish works and deficiencies, but they liked what I did. So just got the PM job a few weeks ago as we got another project and not enough Managers. So kind of a perfect storm of events that fell into place for me. lol

Small world, my roommate is in Poli-Sci and History too, I probably know about a dozen people studying that.

Oh and I've read your articles on Dobber Baseball, you may have saved me in my pool with your second half studs article, but that has yet to be seen!

WICKED GIG. Living the dream is right!
Everybody has a different story.
My new article will be up very soon, the site editor is just looking it over, it should help everyone. Two players a lot of people are uncertain about, I won't reveal the names of those players because I want it to be a surprise. Its great to have weekly readers and a bit of a following, I've enjoyed writing for Dobber Baseball as much as any other journalistic opportunity presented to me. I also wrote articles while I was at Acadia University as the football correspondent for the Acadia Axemen, I'm trying to build a portfolio so that when I finish my program I have an easier time finding a job in a tough industry.

I'm 26 years old and I work in the Operations department at the Headquarters of one of the largest optics companies in the world. It's not a bad gig.

Lot of interesting responses. A lot of Civil Eng's here haha, a couple of my friends are in that program.

I'm going into my last year at Queen's University studying Health Studies. Its public health stuff...a.k.a. a lot of talking without too much actually getting done (like my post count! ha..ha...). A lot of government waiting games that you have to play. Waiting for approval from the guys higher up makes you want to tear out your hair.
Working for the summer at my local public health office.

Without going into too much detail, I'll just say that I work in the project management side of construction as well, much the same as Pengwin and yourself TwoPuckCanuck. Only thing is that I don't have the engineering degree behind me.

Nice to see all the engineers. Before going to law school, I completed a Mech Eng degree at McGill, and I still proudly wear the Iron Ring on the right pinkie finger! Now a lawyer for a financial software company and much of my days are occupied with technology contracts and licensing.

Pat yourself on the back thread? Haha why not?

For now, I am a secondary school supply teacher (Phys Ed and Geography) until I can find a full-time placement. There isn't a lot of work for teachers around my area so I have several other gigs on the side as well (hockey writer, hockey official, full-time beer drinker

I know, not as sexy as an "Engineer"
