Does anyone follow this guy at all. USA JR Hockey Player of the year, so he must have had a decent season but is he the type of guy that will not be able to bring that to the next level.

Oilers draft pick, but not rated all that high, he\'s behind Smid (not really a prospect anymore?), Grebeshkov, Chorney, Gilbert at most places I\'ve looked.

Would love some opinions from folks who maybe have seen him play or know much about him.

Petry\'s biggest asset is his skating. He\'s just incredibly mobile, going backwards as well as most go forwards. He also packs a whalloping slapper, having won the USHL\'s hardest shot competition.

He\'ll be a superb PP quarterback at his peak, and should be in the NHL in three-four years.
