I think only the top 3 is without debate - Luongo, Miller, Lundqvist. Each of those three is clearly unseatable as the team's #1, has proven results, is not past his prime, and plays for a team that is defensively minded enough to avoid situations like Ward and Vokoun have faced in recent years where the result is a great SV% but average, at best, GAA.
For 4 and 5, I think that Thomas belongs. In 2 of the last 3 seasons he's put up Hasek-like numbers. Yes, Rask is the anointed one in Boston and Thomas is getting older, but until he shows signs of skill erosion (I'd argue that two seasons ago doesn't count as it was later revealed that he was playing hurt before losing the job to Rask, yet still put up pretty decent stats) he certainly belongs in this list. For the other remaining spot I think a viable case could be made for each of Bryzgalov, Fleury, Rinne, or even Quick. I'd omit Price for now, but if he has another season like this past one, he leapfrogs all these guys. |

I think Halak is somewhere from 10th to 15th best keeper goalie to have. He's fighting with the likes of Niemi, Howard, Crawford, Kiprusoff and Lehtonen for that last place in the Top 10. Not elite but really good.

Lundqvist
Miller Rinne Price Bryzgalov I don't see how you can keep Bryz off this list if we're assuming he goes to Philly. |

Lundqvist
Luongo ------------ Price Halak Quick Bryzgalov Miller Vokoun Rinne Niemi Hiller ------------ Crawford Neuvirth Schneider Bernier Rask Pavelec Howard Lehtonen ...something like this based on those 3 tiers is what I think of the goalie situations. Each tier is basically equal to me short-term and unranked, but with slight advantage going to options on better clubs vs. options on weaker clubs. |

Rinne over Miller for me too. I like this list except Price would be higher for me.

Fleury is getting no love whatsoever. I know most people around here think he is overrated but is is still only 26 and he was 7th in Wins, 7th in GAA, and 12th in SVP among goalies that played at least 30 games. Thats without Malkin and Crosby for half the year, and yes I think that has an impact on the teams defence cause if the other team is working hard trying to stop Malkin and Crosby they cant be as offensively minded. Not saying he should be top three but top 10 for sure because of job security.

Seriously - I think you've identified a a phenomenon here: Fleury was spoken of as elite for a bit, and now the backlash has over-corrected. He's about right for #8-11 with these cats. But given the lack of love for him, I'd look to go into a draft hoping to find him with the #11-15 echelon.
