Do you hate being torn in specific playoff series? I do and 2011 has had a bundle of them...

First it was Nashville vs. Anaheim where the Preds (my favorite team) were pitted up against the Ducks, where if Anaheim won the Cup, it would've not only come to my hometown of Sudbury with Randy Carlyle being from the area, but also with assistant coach Mike Foligno, who happens to be first cousins with my girlfriend's father. Needless to say, rooting against the future inlaw's "team of choice" was definitely an interesting situation...

Not too long after, it was Nashville against Vancouver. Unlike Dutch, Vancouver is my go to favorite Canadian team. In the First round I was alternating between my Weber Jersey and my D. Sedin Jersey (after some key victories). So when the two teams met in the Second round, for the duration of the six games, I did not allow myself to sport any Canucks apparel (not like I needed to anyways - I had nothing with Kesler on it!). Well after the series was over I went on ebay and bought the official series puck and in the Third round, after the Canucks come from behind win, I was able to sport Daniel's jersey the next day at work.

In the East side, I'm semi torn between Boston and Tampa. In the Expert's panel I had predicted a VAN and BOS final which as all fine and dandy, but in two of my pools I need Boston to lose so I can have a shot at winning (one $ and one not). Man oh man... I want BOS to win in so that I can move ahead of Dobber, but I want Tampa Bay to win in order to up (by a lot) my chances to win some coin...

What about you guys, let's hear your stories!

I demand you burn all your canucks apparel! ( I hear they make for great firestarters for your firepit in the backyard!)

with any series against the preds, it was me vs. the rest of my family and friends with the exception of 2 guys.

Pretty interesting smashtalk going back and forward.

now i'm fine with anyone but the canucks winning the cup.

I got money on Boston and San Jose, so hope for them mostly...

Even though I like Vancouver, I don't follow them like a fan - it's simply an association made because living in Canada, I felt the "need" to pick a go-to team.

I am a hands down Preds fan. I have ebayed tons of Nashville apparel and memorabilia including :

RBK Weber Jersey,
RBK practice Jersey,
CCM Jersey,
Hoodie,
Serveral shirts
Several caps,
8x10 signed Vokoun,
8x10 signed Rinne,
Olympic puck signed Weber,
12+ jersey cards
Couple of full team sets,
and tons of other logo'd items [including beer stuff]

Along with the series puck, the newest addition, I ordered their inaugural puck too

EDIT : oh and my license plate is Nashville too!

I love going to the Hockey Hall of Fame - Nashville stuff is always on clearance haha - picked up a couple of mugs and the mentioned plate for 2$ a piece!

I was torn between NSH and ANA as well. I always find myself cheering for these teams.

I am a leafs fan but if I had to rank my next two favourite teams it would be Tampa and Vancouver so I am pretty happy at how the playoffs are unfolding. I would love to see a Tampa/Vancouver SCF

I only got my clothes predators, and license plate.

Got the very first season home jersey signed by hordichuk, mason, and trotz. Not a name on it, really wish I could get Weber or Rinne on there, or tootoo!

I know what you saying with canadian affiliate. I like the flames for that reason. Since I live in CGY, I think it's allright. However, if Flames beat Nashville in playoffs, i will hate them rest of the playoffs

i bet money on the sharks and bruins. i want to cheer for the nucks but im forced to hate them. i also hate the bruins since im a leafs fan, so its wierd cheering for them. cant wait till playoffs are done so i can go back to hating the bruins

First year jersey eh, that's a tricky situation. If you want it to be authentic, you gotta go with a player from that year. Who's left? Legwand? Going that route I'd get Vokoun.

Although if you don't really care about the year per say, Tootoo wouldn't be a bad idea because he has been with the team for a few years and he's a very interesting player to say the least. I also love both Weber and Rinne - who doesn't?!

I love rockin the NSH plate cover - beats the one I had before "Fueled by Tim Horton's Coffee" haha...

Yeah I have thought about putting up a name on this jersey. But, I really don't want scott walker or anything like that on it. So I think i'll leave this one blank. Especially since it got signatures of people that have left already too on it.

But yeah, I bought my jersey in July or August of 1998, couple months before the Preds ever played a game. It's my favorite jersey for sure

I should just buy a new one one of these years...Altho, I have made it a point that my next jersey will be a shea weber team canada jersey.

Yeah at this point, I'd keep the classic Jersey unnamed. If it were me, it would be mounted on the wall and you wouldn't see the back anyway!

As for the Weber / Canada Jersey - definitely a good choice. I'd want to get a Team Canada Jersey ala Lucic (2014?) or Perry.

My next Jersey will probably be a Rinne Alternate as that's what he is wearing in the 8x10 I have.
