(Can't remember if there's a spelling difference, and too lazy to look it up).

If it's the Washington Johansen, I'm a fan of the move.

If it's the Columbus Johansen, less of a fan, but I suppose you added some much needed goaltending depth, assuming the stats favoured goaltending as you state.

Washington doesn't have a Johansen. They have a Johansson.

I view Shattenkirk and Yandle as about equal unless Yandle gets traded to a place where he gets to be the man without someone like OEL and Rundblad breathing down his neck.

So it's Johansen for Niemi. Depends. In my league goalies are damn expensive and this would probably be viewed as pretty fair.

You did well in my opinon. As Sentium stated above Yandle and Shatts are pretty even (although I'll give a slight edge to Yandle right now). Adding Niemi for a prospect (even if it's a good one) is a great deal for your team that desparately needed assurance given you were going to roll with Lehtonen and Crawford. Niemi immediately becomes your G1 going forward so I like the move a lot and would have done it in a heart beat in your stead.

Johansen for Niemi looks like a huge win, a starting G in a league with alot of G cats over a unproven prospect with a good opportunity but not the best linemates to have a big fantasy season.
