3. The "who am I?" question means that it doesn't matter who I am, because everyone here should be bothered if misinformation is being spread around.

4. If you put your words together in a certain way, it's denoted as fact. If you put them together in another way, it could be opinion. Funny way how words work, right? I don't know if you knew this, but on this forum we usually trust each other pretty well because much of what is posted becomes common knowledge pretty fast, so we post it as being fact. That's not weird, as most of us read the same news blurbs and so on. However, sometimes things fall through the cracks and someone overreaches. That's what Shoeless did here. I reacted.

5. If you are going to accept the spreading of misinformation, then I take it that you are juuuuuuuust fine with mediocrity. I am not and I will always speak up whenever I see something wrong, no matter if it's about fantasy hockey, gas mileage or dietary advice. Whatever it is, if misinformation is being spread and it takes me about a minute to pipe in, I will do that. Don't you worry about my health. BUT! If we have loads of people like you on this site, people who are fine with spreading misinformation and not speaking up, then this site is effectively in the shitter.
1. sorry, didnt realize the time difference.

2. You not only posted, but decided to start a BRAND new thread to call out Shoeless....kinda weird.

4. save me the "I don't know if you knew this" crap bud, I have been a member here just as long as you my friend...I just don't have the time to post as I am on location for work.

5. see #2, speaking up is one thing...starting a brand new thread just to call out someone is just plain stupidity. You made sure that its a new thread so its listed under the newest threads and attracts attention.....weird to say the least.

Lets look into this a little further. You say Shoeless posted it as if it were fact?

What in his post made it a fact? last time I checked, any facts in this forum are followed with an up to date link....was there a link to a fact from a news source?

All trades posted are not taken seriously unless a link is posted to a trusted source. So if Shoeless posts a trade, Lets say Eberle for Kulemin, but doesnt post a link, do you believe it because Shoeless is "well regarded"?

I would say that Halak missing the start of the season is pretty big news, maybe not as big as my example above, but for fantasy owners with Halak as 1 of their 2 goalies....its pretty damn close.

Unless I missed something in the last 5 years being a member here......does Shoeless work for TSN now or something?

You should stick to being the forum "Grammar Nazi"...every forum has a guy like you, and you need us to make you feel important and smart.

Seems he is somewhere in the late stages of rehab and the early stages of off-season conditioning. He was cleared for activity to begin July 21 as near as I can determine.

It was my mistake and I apologize for making it.

Except that it was never posted anywhere that he wouldn't be ready for the start of the season... so Shoeless' information was never accurate.

And CJ, your attitude and acceptance of mediocrity says it all. Happy trails.

Fellas fellas, let's all just chill out and remember we're all friends on these boards...well at least most of us are

I didn't really read through this entire thread because I think I have the basic idea behind it but I definitely think that fact-checking is something that all of us should be responsible for...but we should also remember that we all tend to make mistakes at times.

I expect Halak to be fine to start the season unless I hear otherwise..but I don't blame some people for being more cautious because that is just the nature of some compared to others.

Anyway, have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Didn't we discuss this in private like the same day those ramblings came out? Oh well...people should really take Dobber's ramblings with a pinch of salt more often than not, was clear immediately it was a case of lazy "journalism".

That being said. As a Halak owner in a keeper league I think it still might be in my best interest to draft Elliott as a handcuff for the coming season.

aaaaaaaaaawkwaaaaaard????

On a more serious note; I will use this Halak rumour to draft him low... so please, continue spreading this rumour (kidding).

I remember reading those ramblings and wondering about whether it would be the case. True or not, fantasy hockey is always a gamble.

For all you know, Halak can cut himself making dinner tomorrow... right? :P

GROW UP!
We are adults , we are human , we make mistakes , we miss- inform , we need to be responsible for ourselves and stop expecting others to "do it for us".
Sentium I don't know you personally , or any others on these forums , that I'm aware of but , many here tend to think they know others personally , maybe they do but , again untill you meet someone personally you truly don't know them. You can't see body language in a post , you can't see expression in a post , etc.So lets remember that.
I've made posts that have been miss-understood , imo , I've read posts that I've miss-understood.
Your input should have been in the thread you mentioned , no need for a new thread about your opinion on the matter.
Shoeless , thumbs up for being the bigger person here and taking responsibility for your actions which were in question , Sentium "lighten" up buddy , we're all not perfect , we're all not as dilligent as you.I admire the fact you notice the little things , I respect the fact you don't want us to be miss led , I love the fact you so respect the use of propper english.
Keep it clean , keep it SMOOTH!
POOL ON!
