This has been offered to me by an owner who is in 8th place, trying to punt saves, improve his batting, and make a push for the playoffs. My bullpen is already strong but I know this would just me unbeatable in SVs and also give me tons of K, lowering my ERA and WHIP while raising my K/BB every week in the process. Ellsbury has been a bit of a disappointment since he came back.

If I completed this move, I would drop Wilton Lopez, and also drop Karstens for either Starling Marte or Chase Utley.

I never really have believed Ellsbury was a great power hitter to begin with, but he usually is good for speed etc. With that said, it's not totally awful, but it's not a move you have to make either. I'm not entirely sure how much it'll help your supplemental pitching stats, but it'll make you untouchable on saves...
