Sleeper Prospect Alert: Oscar Hernandez, C TB
I actually ranked the top 400 prospects, and cut it down to 250, but as I was going through who to add, Oscar Hernandez came up on my list. He's an 18 year old catcher who signed with the Rays as a 16 year old and has done nothing but show a very impressive eye at the plate with excellent power potential. He's currently in the APPY league hitting .284 with two homeruns and 10 RBI, .382 OBP and .909 OPS.
Someone that you might hear about more and more after the year is finished, but don't expect him to see him with the Rays for a few years.
Another guy in their organization that could climb up their team ranking is another catcher Justin O'Connor, their 1st round pick in the '10 draft who's finally putting up numbers the Rays were hoping for, however not as polished as Hernandez at the plate.
