I'm looking forward to reading Wind Through the Keyhole as well soon. Though after I'm done with Newsflesh, I plan on getting my hands on 11/22/63, which has just come out in paperback over here.

Yeah, I was lucky that I just got into Wheel of Time like 2 years ago and ripped through all the books one after another. I just finished the last like 9 months ago. Since then it's been the Girl w/ the Dragon Tattoo series, Hunger Games series, Bangkok 8 (cute little book about the death of a policeman, but gets into the culture of Thialand- recommend) and then Fire & Ice.

Cool. Hope you enjoy it. I had never heard of it until I saw Feed in the shop, and grabbed it just because the description intrigued me. I believe these are Grant's first published novels, so I'll definitely be keeping tabs on her future work.

Another zombie related series I'm thinking about getting eventually is David Moody's Autumn. I've enjoyed the first two books of another series (Hater, Dog Blood, Them or Us), so I'm used to his writing style.

Currently reading The Fall of Hyperion, the sequel to Hyperion by Dan Simmons. Both very good books for sci-fi fans.

I've read Terror, and just bought Carrion Comfort. Will keep Hyperion in mind, though I'm more of a horror fan (duh).

It's apparently her first stuff published as Mira Grant. She's published a bunch of other stuff under the name Seanan McGuire.

Still on zombies, have you read the comic book series The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman? It's the basis for the TV show with the same name.

No, I haven't read The Walking Dead comic book series. Not really into comics. Actually I haven't read much zombie stuff in general, and wouldn't consider myself a huge fan of them. But Feed intrigued me because of the main story as well as Moody's style so that is a start. Will consider others, as I like to mix up my horror/action.

There's zombie fiction and then there's fiction that uses zombies and a zombie outbreak to tell stories about how regular people react to it. That's the most interesting stuff, where the desperation makes for more interesting stories about people. It's not the gore or killing zombies that's the interesting stuff, but rather how people turn on each other or work together in extraordinary circumstances. World War Z is great at that and The Walking Dead as well. The zombies are pretty much just a catalyst to make things interesting.

Another book, not about zombies but interesting in the same way as World War Z, is Robopocalypse.
