I am sure hoping he (Parnell) continues to go well during this audition. Maybe management would trade FF or demote him and Parnell becomes the guy full time. I guess we'll see.

Heath Bell has fallen farther down than any other once dominating closer in recent memory, all in a span of about 20 months, unreal.

I am finally gonna dump Santos, if nothing very positive comes this week. TO will not rush him with falling out of contention and limited updates and no progress, he's gone.

Cheap saves with possible trades to current closers:
Lyon (Hou) and Gregerson or Thayer (SD) given Myers and Houston could be traded. I need saves and they could be a cheap source come July31st. I also heard Hanrahan could be traded, but do not understand why? Pitts is in the mix. Is Grilli in that mix?
How should we rate them? Anyone else?

Hanrahan won't be going anywhere as long as the Pirates are in contention. Even if they aren't, he's one of the better closers and it would take a lot for them to deal him.
