IYO, who will be the top 6 d pairings in Detroit next year??
I ask, as I own B Smith but may have to leave him as one of my unprotected going into draft day. Does Suter sign on July 1st? Assuming Kronwall's production goes up too. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Also have a situation with Stuart as well. it's too premature to really gauge it and be correct. You have to anticipate Suter as a potential possibility. Never know what else Holland has up his sleeve with signings and or trades.

I think it's safe to assume that one of Suter/Carle/Wideman/whoever will be a Red Wing this summer and that Stuart will move on.

Word is Stuart is not resigning in Detroit. The chance of signing Suter by the Wings went up significantly today. Also the chances of Brendan Smith sticking this year HAVE to almost guaranteed, he has been riping in the AHL vine for long enough.

Why would Suter want to leave Nashville for Detroit?? Ya lets leave a team with Pekke Rinne for a team with Jimmy Howard. And lets play against my old team 6 times a year, ahhhhhhh no thanks.

If you're Ryan Suter and the Red Wings offer you a long term deal, how could you resist? One of the best hockey markets in the game and a team that will always be competitive.
Only change would be if they bring in a dman like Suter, plus Brad Stuart will be on his way out. Ericsson may me dealt or just demoted to the AHL. Suter/other dman-Kronwall Smith-White Kindl-Quincey
