Default Just made my first baseball trade

Hey fellas, I just made my first trade. Normally I'd check here first, but I didn't have much time to make a decision, so I went with my gut. How do you think I made out? was this a good or bad move? Thanks!

Traded: Beltre and J.Upton
Recieved: Granderson, R.Zimmerman, and Victorino

League/team in sig.

I really like Upton and view him better than Granderson, also would take Beltre over Zimm, just because he's so consistent. Having Vic as the 3rd player helps and equals the deal imo. An upgrade on Heyward for the time being. Pretty balanced imo.

Its pretty close; I don't think Granderson comes too close to last years #'s so I probably wouldn't have traded the best player in the deal. Vict bumps up your OF a tick so you could still come out ahead if Grand proves me wrong, but its not a deal I'd have done

Good attempt, but gotta go with the Upton side. I do not believe the Grandy man will produce at the same clip as last year. Upton is getting better and better and Beltre is more durable than Zimmerman and in a better lineup / ballpark.

I agree with Brandon here.

perhaps the lesson to take from here is to not feel rushed to make any trade. In the majority of my trades, I like to sleep on an offer and accept it the next day. You don't always have that option as sometimes you have an owner making offers to other teams as well, but you really shouldn't ever feel rushed to make a trade decision

I actually don't mind this trade.
Categories are a little funny. Perhaps this is the year Beltre gets injured.
And a 3rd player in Victorino really helps out this team.

A possible win-win.
Upton has a ton of potential... but in a 1-year league, I think this trade is very close & good for you in getting another OF to your line-up.

Thanks for the replies guys, a couple of my buddies in the league said that they would take the deal if it were them, so that's why I accepted so quickly. Oh well, live and learn. Cheers guys!
