Trade offer, Aliva for Hosmer, full stats position 18 person 6 person keeper league. just getting this offer before the trade. Is it worth it? I do have Freddie Freeman for 1b to cover it I accept.

im assuming you mean Alex Avila? Hosmer has a much better chance at repeating his 2011 success than Avila does, but if you need a catcher it might not be bad idea to get Avila anyway. what would your other options be at catcher - (keeper or in the draft)?

Avila is alot easier to replace than Hosmer. Avila had a fine year last year and should do quite well in a nice lineup that Detroit has. However, Hosmer is a legit stud, I'd give up a little possibly at the catcher position to secure myself a beast at 1B. Hosmer is the answer.
