Default Zach Britton's Value

I just drafted him in a 24-team dynasty league. I feel like he's a really intriguing player heading into 2012. Britton was ranked 17th overall in the Baseball Prospectus Top 101 Prospects last year, he was compared to Brandon Webb as he worked his way through the minors and he just turned 24 in December. That being said, he struggled at times in his debut season last year and posted ugly strikeout and walk rates (5.66 K per nine and 3.62 BB per nine) in 154 1/3 innings. I like him to bounce back somewhat this year, but what does everyone else think about him Britton heading into his second season in the majors?

Nice pick, I was ready to draft him but not surprised he was taken before my pick. Happy to get both Henderson Alvarez and J.D. Martinez.

i like the alvarez pick a lot in a deep keeper. so far, he has shown good command of the strike zone. more-so than britton. i wasn't high on britton at the start of last season, predictably, i am less so now. i hope he works out. he needs to get his walk rate well under two, i think, to become a fantasy relevant pitcher.

Thanks! Feels good to hear that, it was tough seeing Britton go just before my selection.

Would rather have Alvarez as well, just because I see some strikeout potential. I do like Britton as well. Rookie pitchers are very unpredicatable so not too concerned over last year's performance.
