After some recent transactions in our league I'm left with a couple interesting options to help my team. I recently picked up Desmond with the news he won the starting job. Recently someone dropped both S. Sizemore and A. Cabrera. I was looking at picking up Sizemore but with such a short bench I don't know if it's worth it. The only identifiable person I could drop is Desmond. Both players sound like they have similar cababilities in terms of having some power and speed.
Also is Cabrera hurt or is there some other reason for him being dropped? I figure he might even be better than Sizemore as he at least has MLB experience. Gregerson is another consideration but I figure he can move into a closer role which makes me hesitant as I don't have a solid closer.

I like Desmond for his positional flexibility. He's proven he can hit in the minors as well, so personally I stick with him.

me too. i hear some really good things about Desmond and i'm expecting a big season out of him. the positional flexibility will come in handy too.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I made a waiver claim for Sizemore yesterday and would've dropped Desmond but cancelled late last night. I just hope they don't keep Desmond on too short a leash and actually give him a real chance to hold the spot.
