Default 2B Keeper

Keeper in my signature. I would like to fill my 2B position with my first pick if possible but that all depends on what's available. I could also go SP. Or RP. These are the 2B that I think will be available at the time I have to draft:

Beckham, stewart, K. Kohnson, Lopez, Polanco, Prado, A. Cabrera, Kendrick, Castillo, Iwamura, Weeks and every 2B below them.

I think I could land Beckham with my first pick. Do you agree with this pick and what is the best option for 2B? If I don't get a solid 2B with my first pick I will go with stacking my pitching and then select a 2B later in the draft that will be a decent option. If I don't get Beckham then I don't know what 2B I will pick after that but it most likely won't be my first pick.

My Offense is set with the exception of 2B. RP and SP are my main draft concerns as I will be contending for the title this year. Last year Wang, Motte, Pelfrey and to some extent Hamels & Nolasco (at the beginning of the season) did me in and I came up just short.

Any thoughts?

Assuming that would be pick 128. I'd be fine with that.

I pick 6th. After all 120 players are protected. There are also some great pitchers available but I'd like to target the 2B if there is someone worth taking at 2B rather than SP or RP. Examples of pitchers available at the start of the draft are:

wandy, weaver, danks, valverde, anderson, wilson, jackson, bell, dempster, porcello, feliz, webb, harang, de la rosa, strasburg, kazmir, and a boatload more.

I guess if beckham is there i take him. if not i take a pitcher.

figgins is officially making the move to second, whats your leagues eligibility requirement? with so much power everywhere else, figgins lack of it wont matter, but beckham would be a nice alternative and could steal 10 himself.

love valverde, anderson, strasburg and de la rosa among those pitchers.

Yahoo only has Figgins eligible for 3B right now. Until he gets enough games under his belt at 2B that I think he would be 2B eligible in Yahoo. Correct me if I'm wrong but I just checked and Figgins is only listed at 3B in Yahoo. Lots of good pitching to choose from too. I'm poised for a championship I reckon!

Figgins is only eligibile at 2B, but him, Lopez and Beckham should qualify at both 2B/3B in the first few weeks

Do you know when Yahoo will change Figgins's and Beckham's position eligibility from 3B to 2B/ 3B? Right now they are both listen as 3B on yahoo draft player list.

They officially have to play 10 games I believe in order to get qualification.

Was able to draft Beckham but now need to decide what to do with Figgins. Bench or trade. Not sure if he's tradable in this league. PItching is the next focus.

I'd move Figgy, although hitting behind Ichiro might give him the chance to have a career year. Tough call!
