Baltimore is another destination linked to Bedard, who is likely to sign a one-year deal with incentives as he makes his way back from shoulder troubles. He is fast becoming one of the more coveted starters on the free agent market.

Bedard is likely looking for a one-year, incentive-laden deal to leap frog to a big contract this time next year. I guess if KC can get him cheap, why not, but the current state of their offense (12th or 13th in the AL each of the last five years) does little to justify spending on pitching.
