Pirates traded Mclouth to atlanta for three prospects (Tommy Hanson is not one of them) Gorkys hernandez and 2 pitching prospects.

Way to go pirates! Another excellent trade. (saracasm)

Some will say that this is to popen up a spot for Andrew Mc. but they could have kept mclouth and put him in left or right.

I wouldn\'t knock the Pirates too much man. They have picked up quite a bit of good young talent in the past few years.

Not saying World Series in a few years or even playoffs but they are making good moves for the future atleast...

The reality is that they will never be able to afford their budding superstars, so have to get what they can for now. That being said, you would think the Pirates could have gotten some higher touted prospects at the deadline.

The Pirates are lucky that the Pens and the Steelers have been so successful....or else people will realize they are tied with the Nats as the worst franchise in this day in age.
