What are your thoughts on this guy?? I\'ve heard he is more of a defensive SS with some 30 steal speed...
Would you take Elvis over him?? |

Also what are the thoughts on Elvis?? I think he is still relatively unknown. Will he start this year??
I missed the boat on Hanley a few years ago before his trade to Florida and don\'t want to make that mistake again...haha |

I think he is closer to being MLB ready. Alcides was known as a defensive gem with a little stick until his breakout at the plate last seaosn. 30 SB speed 10-15 HR\'s 290 avg is what I see of him at his peak (but remember I threw Hanley in! Porter Sucks!) Elvis is a speedster - 50+ steals as a SS. Even a reasonable .280 avg makes him quite valuable. Think of Theriot with his 30SB\'s and decent avg.. Theriot is growing in popularity and is a decent fill - in if you miss out on the SS\'s with greater upside. Again, between the two - I think Elvis\'s speed plays at the MLB level before Alcides\'s \'balance of speed and avg.\' Good Luck |
