both young talented but tavares is further along the curve and "the man" on his team. Seguin will have his role increased each season here on out, does he reach similar points by year 3? (when i look to win)

That big of a gap tho, in 3 years time? seguin made a drastic point increase this season, maybe he does that next season too. Just thought it would be a decent comparable is all. I get tavares i know hes good, im going to do the trade their are other pieces but thats the keeper piece involved.

seguin saw a huge jump in his icetime from last season including about 1 min on the pp

so while he still may have room to grow he isnt likely to be putting up 1.3 ppg next season just because he jumped .5 ppg from last season to this season

also tavares has gotten better each season so far as well and that shouldnt be overlooked either

not to mention tavares has made a couple of career minor leaguers into decent nhl players and i think very little credit is given to him for that

true, well i already had agreed to the deal before the thread, but wanted some feed back reassurance, i just figured tavares is the islanders and you cant say the same for seguin, we will see how that pans out.
