Panik had a slow start to his season with Norfolk Admirals in AHL with having only 4 goals and 2 assists in the first 21 games. Since the year turned into 2012 he's took off and has 15 goals and 19 assists in the last 37 games. In just March he has 17 points in 12 games. He's really improved as the season has progressed. That's always great to see with a young prospect playing his first season as a pro.
What does everyone here think Panik's upside is and what's the ETA with him? With Yzerman in charge I doubt Tampa will rush their prospects and Panik seems like a guy who could use atleast another full season in AHL. Tampa seems to have a solid forward prospect group with having guys like Connolly, Conacher, T.Johnson, Panik, recently signed J.T. Brown, Killorn and in the longer term a couple of Russian prospects in Namestnikov and Kucherov.
