Ferland and Reinhart have some pretty decent potential for where they were taken.
But years of bad drafting leads to a farm team that lacks NHL-ready talent.

Baertachi is the new face of the franchise. He is the one that Flames fans have been waiting for since the days that Fleury left. He is going to live like a rock star. He will have all the girls, all the cars, all the money and all the fame. Everything he wants will be handed to him on a silver platter. He will even have someone wipe his ass for him. Then in typical Calgary Flames fashion they will miss manage his developement and he will never turn out to be more than a 20 goal forward.

Well considering that we haven't had any top end propspects to mismanage over the last who knows how many years I am not sure where you get this idea from. The farm team may not be over flowing but we are certainly not the Blue Jackets of development.

The Blue Jackets became the Calgary Flames of development.

Don't get me wrong, I would like the Flames to do well. But if you look at any young prospects that the Flames have tried to devolop in the past 6-7 years, they are all turn out to be 3rd and 4th round guys. Some of these guys did have high expectations that did not turn out.
Kobesew, Lombardi, Boyd, Nystrom, Niemisz and Backlund.

I just hope that they are really carefull with Bart.

I think Baert's developmental growth will be more based on avoiding the farm and sticking with the big club. Hopefully they manage his minutes well. This guy is a gamer with all the tools and a great work ethic. ......also......Backlund still has a chance to be a good NHLer
