I've got Barrie and Elliott right now, and if I had to drop one of them, which would I drop for someone like Schultz? Is Schultz even worth dropping one of these guys?
I'm liking what I'm hearing about him, just not sure where he ranks up against those two

I prefer Schultz over Barrie as I believe Schultz is significantly more offense, where Barrie is known to be a 2-way player.
Elliott Schultz Barrie

Another vote for dropping Barrie,
Schultz is looking great and will end up on the team of his choice. Probably a winner.

16. Speaking of American-based talents, several teams are waiting for West Kelowna's Justin Schultz to make a decision. Drafted by Anaheim and considered the NCAA's best prospect, he has finished his season at Wisconsin and can now join the Ducks. If he waits until the summer, though, the defenceman can become an unrestricted free agent. To Anaheim's consternation, it would be a surprise if he didn't. From 30 Thoughts.
I think this situation gives him added value. Although he could probably step into a strong role with the Ducks immediately, his best career move is to become a UFA and he probably won't choose a team where he'll be buried in the depth charts. He could end up in a place like EDM and be the man very soon.

I'd drop Barrie for Schultz. Having Schultz and Elliott on your farm team means having two of the very best D prospects.
