Default Granlund vs. B. Schenn vs. R. Johansen

Hi all,

Team and League Info in sig. Next year, we're awarding 0.1 pts per hit. We're allowed to keep 3 players with 164 games or less experience. Right now, I have John Carlson in one of those slots. That leaves two for the 3 players above.

Johnasen's wing eligibility makes him attractive, but who knows if they'll move him to centre next year. Schenn looks like a promising all-round forward (he seems to be hitting a lot this year).

What I'm looking for most is some thoughts on Granlund vs. the other two. I don't know that much about him, so I'm hoping you can enlighten me on how he compares to Schenn.

Thanks

Despite the other two already in Granlund would be choice to he got a team to take over and has also ready played with men for years as well. He is a special kid and very mature.

Next in line is Johanson he got a lot more natural talent offensewise.

Schenn will become a great 2C but he hasn´t the upside of a dominant 1st C in my books.

exactly i see schenn as a kesler type, buried behind giroux(sedin for kesler) but sound defensively, has scoring potential, will find consistency with maybe a slightly more physical edge. Granlund is more talented then koivu, i see him eventually pushing koivu to the 2nd line center role. johansen as mentioned is the new nash(going to be relied on heavily for offence in the future, not now tho, as they seem to be still mishandling him)

I like Johansen quite a bit, but Granlund gets my vote. You're talking about a guy who should be in the NHL next year and could make a huge impact. He's already proved he can thrive against legit hockey players.

1. Granlund
2. Johansen
3. Schenn

Thanks guys.

I know patience is usually key with young players, but I have been known to hold on to a player for a little too long. Though I see that most of you are high on Johansen, I notced last night he went from a 4 th line player to a scratch. Something like that concerns me a little. Is that something to worry about, or do you think his ice-time will improve significantly next year?

Seems like the Blue Jackets' coaching staff doesn't have much faith in him.

For fantasy I think I like Granlund the most. Minny could have a pretty strong "kid line" of their own in 2 years in Granlund, Phillips and Coyle.

The thing about Granlund that worries me, is that the only news I hear about him is when he's taken some massive hit from someone... That or his epic wraparound goal in the WCs.
