Ads help, but it's a full-time business because of the Fantasy Guide.

Or to look at it another way, it will take a month of ad revenue to pay for the changes I did here with this. Or to add a Twitter box. Or to widen the site. Or three months of it to put in a new shop (coming soon). Or one month of ad revenue to launch my new site (coming hopefully April).

With a possible lockout looming, I'm working my ass off behind the scenes and investing a lot in keeping things alive for a year of no hockey. I doubt we get that...but I wouldn't mortgage the future on it. Be Prepared, so the Scouts say

I have no issues with the modified forum layout. Clean and Quick. Ads are fine.

Regarding Twitter feed - No need to worry about my tweets! Usually post once or twice a day while catering to the forums (Black Aces and PG Advised). Odd tweet here and there (like the ASG draft with DY), but technically that was forum based too!

Maybe I'm wrong but it felt like not too many people knew about the direct link until people had issues with the forum linked to the site (messed up redirects, twitter ticker, random ads for tampons) and people suggested that they use the direct forum link to avoid them.

Whatever I don't even care that much about this lol.

I think I figured it out. I almost always access the forums via the "recent posts" thingy on the right of the main page, and using those links, you still get the forums with the frames, meaning you double up on the ads. If I access them from the "Forums" link in the header it is much better.

So, from now on will we have to go to the homepage to access the other sites that were at the top before?

I like that it does load faster.

Is there a way to keep the main page menu options when you get to the forum posts? i use the Latest Posts page a lot when looking at the forum. There isnt a simple way to get back to the latest post if i am reading a long thread.
