Enstrom has been slumping lately (pointless in his last six), and Del Zotto is showing signs of life offensively again (five points in his last six). Over a full season their production is almost identical, though. However, Del Zotto's +25 (third best in the NHL) is from another planet compared to Enstrom's -2. +/- also happens to be my team's biggest weakness, so I'm leaning towards dropping Enstrom for Del Zotto. Is this a good idea? |

Yes, although Enstrom may have a little more ability to put points up, im not sure Del Zotto wont match him though, MDZ plays on a much better team, and if plus minus helps you, I say go for it! The point swing wont be enough to avoid this deal, and since you are getting a plus minus upgrade of 27points I say go for it!

I would be inclined to make this move, although I am admittedly higher on MDZ than most. Over what's left of the season I think MDZ can give him a run in overall production (surprised Enstrom isn't doing better actually), with, as mentioned, the benefit of the +/-.
The only thing that would raise a flag is the PPP - MDZ sees good time on the PP but the NYR PP is pretty lame. But given that +/- is a big concern for you I would make the swap.

Otherwise... Enstrom is a solid 50 point d-man, and his offensive role on WPG is solid. Buff and Kane have just come back, so that ups the Jets' scoring ability. I feel he is going to pick it up again soon. If you feel frustrated with his slump, MDZ went through a similar slump this year and Enstrom is slumping after putting 6 or 7 points in 5 games to keep things in perspective. |

Keep in mind games remaining, NYR have one of the highest amounts to go. Del Zotto's +/- is absolutely ridiculous, and he does seem to be picking up a little steam lately so I would say MDZ would be the one to pick up here.
