22 years old, not overly big, hasn't been able to excel at the NHL level.

I've held onto him for a while but I'm wondering if I'm waiting for a prospect that will never really develop.

I haven't watched much of the Coyotes so I can't say from personal experience what kind of a player he is/will be.

It's for the league in my sig so points only. I have 3 1st round picks next year that I can use or trade, obviously it looks like the Leino experience was a bust, but my question is should I look elsewhere or is Boedker worth waiting for?

Problem #1 is that he doesn't get the icetime to put up more than 30-35 pts per season. 14 min/game with another 1:20 on the PP just doesn't translate to production.

Problem #2 is that he doesn't shoot enough. He's a career 10.7% shooter but only averages about a shot per game.

Having said that, he does produce as expected when given an opportunity. I think he'll be a consistent 30-30 threat when his time comes.

If you can wait a year or two until Whitney and Langkow are out of the picture I think you'll see dividends. He is the one forward prospect that the Coyotes have consistently shown faith and patience with.

I agree to a point but in a 12 team league I would move on. There has to be better players available that you don't have to wait on.

Here's your answer, I agree completely with slufoot and blackaces. I dropped Boedker in my league for the same reason, PHX has been destroying forward prospects for the past 16 years. Look no further than the Kyle Turris (before/after) or (fat/sexy) picture.

give him another year. i think the opportunity to succeed will come sooner than expected. he's the most talented forward in phoenix right now. don't give up on him if you have room to keep him.

I had him pegged as a potential breakout candidate this year but it's so hard to bet on PHO prospects. At this point I'd say it's pretty clear that he's not going to be the offensive weapon that some thought/hoped. Could still turn into a solid player though.

I was actually quite surprised he signed the 2 year deal last summer. Damm guy shouldve joined turris in his hold out.

60-80 pt player who will score 40-60 at some point in Phx in the near future.

His speed/great shot from junior has been wasted by Dave Tippet into a safe dump/chase/chip the puck game, I hate watching this more than anything on Phx in the past few yrs.
