Default Chicago - Morin vs Kruger

Hi everybody,
I like Chicago, but don't know them so much. What's your opinion about them?

Jeremy Morin is the guy you want here. He's more talented and he's also a winger, whereas Kruger is a centre.

Morin has looked solid and has proven that he can score (although his AHL numbers aren't that great so far) but he has had some injuries in the last few years, including a major concussion. Probably has 60 point upside with absolutely no guarantee he reaches it. Kruger was eligible to be drafted in 2008 but was passed over. He impressed in 2008-09 in the Swedish Elite League and the Hawks took a chance on him late in the 2009 draft. Good playmaker and solid two-ways. Doesn't appear to have the potential to put up big numbers in the NHL but could eventually turn into a 50-55 point guy if all goes well. Will probably be a slow progression.

I like Kruger here as the safer option.....Morin is the wildcard as the Hawks brass does like him, but he's had injury troubles back to back seasons now. I think he'll be in the NHL next season and I would expect a nice rookie season from him as long as he can stay in the lineup.

Kruger is the safer pick though for sure. I think he'll have a nice NHL career as a 2nd/3rd line center. He's another player the Hawks brass likes, and Quennville especially seems to like putting him out there.....he centers the teams 2nd PK and PP units and has been given an opportunity to center the Hawks 2nd line the last few weeks.

Overall, I like the safety Kruger will give you, and he does have enough upside that I would take him over Morin.

Kruger, great two way play, better than Bolland at times, know nothing about Morin.
