Hes been hot of late, 9 pts in last 3 games for Bridgeport, 38 in 44 games overall in his rookie AHL season to date. I had always pegged him for a 3rd line centre in the NHL especially with Tavares & Strome there but wondering if he has more potential than that. I cant see him not making the NHL at some pt but looking for other opinions on his scoring abilities.

He played on the 1st line with DSP in Mississauga last season and put up good totals. He's as close as you can get to a sure-fire NHLer so not a bad guy to get if you don't give much up but I wouldn't get him expecting a 50+ pts season in the next few years or anything especially knowing it's NYI. Frans Nielsen wouldn't have gotten 40 pts+ either if he wasn't the 2nd line centre on a team with bad depth, by next season, you would expect one of Nielsen/UFA signing/Strome to be ahead of Cizikas.
