Hi all,
Trying to get a read on this guy. In looking at his stats he had a couple of good years out of the majority: GP G A Pts ppg 2003-04 Nanaimo Clippers BCHL 52 7 20 27 .52 2004-05 Nanaimo Clippers BCHL 57 22 40 62 1.1 2005-08 U. of Minnesota-Duluth - Took school seriously average stats 2008-09 Rochester Amer. If not mistaken his shooting percentage is over 10%. Defensemen simply do not score at that pace no matter how good their shot is. Definite sell high if you can find someone who actually takes him seriously.

He's solid defensively so he will get enough minutes to put up respectable point totals. But he's not this good. Sell high but don't sell him as a talentless stay-at-home guy.

Well... yes he's a candidate to sell high. Only an inexperienced Fantasy GM is going to give him much credit, at this point.
Anyone pretending he's not interesting, well that just isn't fair, but... shooting percentage is eye popping, assists aren't currently in place, no track record to indicate he'll be a points guy, went undrafted... the typical pedigree isn't in place. His PP TOI is good, but not as awesome as one would guess. He actually spends more time on the PK. He plays an impressive 24:15 nightly. He has 7 career PP goals. All came this season. I clearly wonder that the bubble will burst. However, he wouldn't be the first player to buck the trends. So, is he a sell high? In my opinion, yes. What do I want in return? Maybe an Elite prospect or a more proven player, that still poses some risks, but has a better pedigree. At this point, I would wonder that he should start threatening for 30 points annually. Target teams that have injury woes/poor bluelines. Review their rosters very carefully!

all depends on the league set up.
is value is obviously higher in deeper leagues. he already has 92 shots and 7 ppg. and he is plus 7. might be able to trade him to a competing team that has lost a dman or 2 to injury.
