I just swung a buy low deal on E.Staal... acquired him for Alfredsson from a team that really needed a winger.

Now I'm pretty overloaded at center (even with 2 util slots) and was considering making this offer to level things out just a bit... my M.Koivu/Heatley for P.Kane/Marleau.

Do you like this move or should I maybe consider a less extreme move?

im a big fan of koivu but that is a steal. i dont see him giving you p.kane and marleau. for heater and koivu.

If you could swing that deal I would take Kane/Marleau in a heartbeat over Koivu/Heater. But I'd be really doubtful that anyone would accept that trade. Best of luck though!

Great job on buying low on Staal! I like Alfy but Staal is gonna have a killer second half. I think the family time over christmas might have settled him down a bit, and realizing he didn't end his bro's career. And E.Staal is a stud that can't perform this poorly all year.

I have Koivu and been enjoying his production so far but that is a trade I'd make 100/100. The upside of Pat Kane/Marleau is much higher than what the Wild duo will give you.

ill take the marleau and kane side. koivu is great but heatley is 'hope for the best'

Yeah Minny is averaging just 2.28 goals per game this season (28th overall). Their success is mostly due to their solid defensive play to keep them into games. There's only going to be limited offensive upside with players that play on a team that isn't offensive.

Marleau and Kane play top-three roles on teams that are ranked 11th and 5th offensively respectively.

I think you'd be very very lucky if the other owner accepts this deal.

I have a feeling he might take the offer. He's been struggling and often bites on nearsighted production... Heater and Mikko have racked up more points over the last 30 days than Kane and Marleau, and that may just be enough.
