So there's this owner who has a man-crush on Giroux. And I am desperate for goalie help right now. They're killing me. My skaters are rocking the league - I have 5 of the top 7. But I'm still in 5th and falling because of Price and Halak.

I shopped Giroux to him for MA Fleury in some combination. And here's what he sent me:

Giroux + Neal for his MA Fleury, Fleischmann and Perry.

The upside as I see it:
G and Neal are obviously huge, but I would still have Malkin, Hossa and H-Sed. Flash is out of his mind right now, and Perry should rebound. I could drop Emery and have two very solid goalies rather than using the third spot on a goalie rather than a forward. And Perry will help my PIM's - another cat that I lose every week.

The downside as I see it:
G and Neal are 2 of the top 4 fantasy guys, and MAF is not Rinne or Lundqvist. Should I tryto make a better deal for Lundy or Quick? Those guys are both owned by teams at the bottom of the league.

Just to further complicate this: He also has Howard and would substitute him for MAF. And I could ask for Marchand instead of Perry. Similar points and PIM, but Marchand is a +/- monster. I'd lose some PPP though.

Another option would be to simply offer Giroux for MAF or Howard straight up. He might take it. Better deal for me?

I don't like the 3 for 2 deal proposed. Giroux and Neal are studs and are going to be impossible to replace plus keep in mind you'll have to drop a 3rd player to make this deal. MAF is a very legitimate goalie and will rack up wins along with solid peripherals but I'm not sold on Flash or Perry. Flash has slowed down a lot the last two weeks with Weiss out and I think he's selling high on him. There's something wrong with Perry (as well as all the Ducks) the PIMS are nice I think if you're giving up 2 premium players you better be getting some premium players back you're getting 1 solid goalie and 2 solid skaters.

Your goalies are rough so adding Howard would be great however I'd much rather move Neal straight up for Howard (and turn Emery into another skater) then ship both Giroux and Neal out. Ideally if the other guy needs a few more starts I'd move Neal and Emery for Howard and a little + from him.

I would definitely take this deal. I think Fleischmann is a great buy-low right now. He's always been talented.

I'm guessing you're dropping Emery?

The original Giroux+Neal for MAF, Fleisch, and Perry looks good. See if you could sneakily sub in Whitney for Neal though.

Now he won't do a 1-for-1 for MAF or Howard. He's concerned that with G's concussion, without some other guys in the mix he could be giving his goalie away for nothing. So we're still looking at the 2-for-3. Maybe I ask for Howard+Flash+Marchand for G+Neal. I don't think he will settle for less than those two guys. The only way I can get a better deal is to up the ante on what I'm getting, and perhaps Howard and Marchand are better than MAF and Perry. He doesn't have much else to give!

To tell you the truth I like none of these for you.

G is as good as it gets in fantasy right now.

To beleafs point - Flash is NOT a buy-low right now. He is playing above his head and is on pace for 70+ pts. Way above anything he has produced in his career. If anything you are buying him high.

Perry on the other hand is a buy low but I just haven't liked what I've seen outta Anaheim. Although he could be a good multi cat down the stretch for you. Since you're in 5th I think he has more upside than Marchand going forward and will be worth the gamble.

I like Neal and think he is going to continue to produce on a team like pitts, especially with sid gone. He looks poised for a good 75 pts this season.

I think you're giving up too much here. If you're intent on giving up a stud like Gee I'd shop him around the league to see if you can snag a tender from someone else. I realize you're in trouble with goaltending but I'd look elsewhere before giving up the farm for MAF.

Who has Elliot? Handcuff him to Halak and drop Emery. I'd rather move Neal in a package for Elliot than the deals proposed above.

I am trying to grab Elliott. The guy who has him also has Crawford, so I'm selling him on the idea that we both get a handcuff if he buys Emery in the package. Pity - I actually dropped Elliott early this season when Halak had a couple good games back to back. Duh. I'm trying to package Razor and someone else to get him. That would go a long way towards solving my goalie issues if I can't make a deal for MAF or Howard.

The guy with Lundy is in last place. I could try to overwhelm him with an offer too, but Lundy is all he has in goal besides Vokoun. So it might be tough sell.

It looks like you could use a little help on D with Letang off for god knows how long. And you look strong up front.

What other tenders does the Elliot owner have? You could move Halak +Neal for one of his tenders if he has another bonafied #1 + something to wet your beak a little on D or another decent forward.
