Default Where are the good beer drinkers?

I'm a fan of beer, I love a really good beer. I grew up in the states trying out what my older brothers drank and was lucky to have brothers who didn't drink crappy beer like Bud Light. I grew up tasting Newcastle instead of Corona Light. Then I moved to Germany for a few months and really got turned onto beers of the World. Personally, My favorite beers are from Great Britain, Germany, Belguim, and Ireland. There are many micro-breweries that I like.

So I thought, since I haven't really seen much about it here, what if we talked about the types of beers we're trying out. For instance, I'm trying out Hen's Tooth tonight, which is a bottled beer that ages in the bottle as they pack it with yeast. You have to be careful with the pouring of it, though. So far I'm liking it. It's distinctly British, and I think it's because it reminds me of Hobgoblin Ale from Wychwood brewery.

So far, my go to beers are Bass, Samuel Adams, Guinness (from the can folks) and my favorite microbrews are Pete's Wicked Ale, Rouge's Dead Guy Ale, and many others.

I also just bought an ale from Lost Abbey. Very curious about these brews. They look good. I got the inferno ale which is supposed to be like Duvel (Belgian goodness).

I came into this thread to recommend Rogue Dead Guy Ale, but it seems you're already well aware of this delicious gem.

Enjoy!

I am my friend. My brother used to live in Oregon and brought it down for me once. It's good stuff. I haven't had it in ages though.

My sister did a lot of traveling out West, and she brought back the knowledge of the glory of Rogues. Other than that, I'm pretty much just into the standard "good" stuff: Sierra, NewCastle, Bass etc.

Was kind of lucky not to grow up on Miller Light and Milwaukee's Best lol.

Good deal Mound. Blayze I won't say it, but I did just actually sigh out of depression for the nature of your lost soul.

What I lack in appreciation for beer, I make up for with copious amounts of weed.

Since you're both American I'll go with an American beer I pick up once in a while. Brooklyn Lager. It's decent. Simple easy to drink taste that goes very well with steak.

I usually have Guiness, Creemore, Steamwhistle or Pilsner Urquel in the house. My wife drinks Rolling Rock, but it tastes like water to me.

If you ever come up to Toronto try out Beau's on tap. It's not easy to find, but it's amazing dinner beer.

I usually favour the Euro-imports (I'm like the anti-Don Cherry of beer drinkers).

My fave is Tuborg. Also enjoy Stella Artois, Kronenbourg, and Heineken (though recently reconsidering that one). Once in a while Boris (France), which I'm not sure is available everywhere.

For sushi, Sapporo. For Mexican, Dos Equis. At the pub, Newcastle. Sports bar, Rickard's Red.
