I was offered a trade for Elliot in a league using the following format:
• Keeper [14 Team, keep 4+1 rookie under 150gp]
• Scoring: G,A,+/-,PIM,SHP,PPP,GWG,SOG,FW, G/GAA/SV/SV%/SHO

The origginal offer I received was:
My: Elliot+Benn+7th round pick
His: Halak+Havlat+2nd round pick

I rejected it and talked to him and said maybe if we took benn/havlat out... seeing as halak is starting to turn it around and is still the golden boy. i dont seem to lose much and would be upgrading my 2nd rounder. I've had success getting my way with this guy in the past... suggestions on a better deal that would help my team? notice i'm a d man short.

I'm not sure what to expect with Varlamov or I would try to move him and take halak back if possible... thoughts suggestions... etc. I think i have a decent shot at this year winning. Helping this year or a pick would be nice.

If the trade is:

Your Elliot + 7th rounder for his Halak + 2nd rounder. I think you would be crazy not to do it. They pay Halak too much and he hasnt performed bad enough to not gain starts, in my opinion.

I first countered with:
- Elliot+6th
for
- Halak+1st

with notes:
"This seems like a fair trade. Hard to see Elliot go. He is ranked #2 overall on yahoo and should continue all season... he had some legit coaching over the summer and looks to have upped his game."

If he gets hesitant I'll just go back to the original 2nd for 7th. Looking at the last 30 days there stats have been very similar.

So he came back with either:
a) my Elliot+7th for his Halak+2nd
or
b) my Elliot+6th+3rd for his Halak+1st+4th

so, i went with #2... i feel more than satisfied!
