Studs

Praise Zach

Zach Parise fantasy owners are singing his praises now. After missing most of last year and having a slow start to this season, Zach is back!
Last night's three points gives him 11 points in his last eight games.

Dandy Yankee Dudes

The US Hockey Hall of Fame inducted Chris Chelios, Keith Tkachuk, and Gary Suter on Monday. Three very worthy players who we all enjoyed watching and owning in our fantasy leagues for many years.

The Tao of Devils power play

Matt Taormina played in his first NHL game this season. He played a total of 17:06 including 2:33 on the PP and even 2:03 SH. He had an assist on the PP and was +1 in a strong showing. If he makes it in the NHL it will be on the strength of his PP prowess.

Adam Henrique and Steve Stamkos also chipped in three point nights.

Duds

Cautiously Concussed

Sidney Crosby addressed the media yesterday in regards to his latest concussion. He is listed as day to day with no time frame for his return.

Red Light Roloson

Dwayne Roloson let in three goals in 12 shots including a softy by Parise. Pierre McGuire's comment on the goal was "That's simply not good enough".
It looks like time has caught up with the 42 year old who has now lost four in a row.

Filly don't do the NHL

The Ottawa Senators have granted Nikita Filatov's request to leave for the KHL. Filatov failed to make any sort of positive impression with the Sens this season. The most memorable contribution from him this season has been the story from his time in Columbus. In case you missed it it goes like this.

Filatov was with the assistant coach and video coaches in Columbus watching footage of crease scrambles. After a few clips he stands up, says "Filly don't do rebounds", and left the room.
True story!

DM

Devil's Nick Palmieri managed no points and was -2 in 5:04 minutes of playing time.
L.A. Kings have fired head Coach Terry Murray. The team record of 13-12-4 is not good enough for GM Dean Lombardi who has higher expectations.
