Hey gang,

What\'s the status on this guy? Is he ever going to be back in the NHL or is he done with the team? I thought he looked like he had a chance to be a pretty decent player but now he seems to have struggled over in Russia. Is he done or should I hold any last hopes that he\'ll be back?

he\'s a risk.... you don\'t want risks on your team...

Personally I avoid injury prone players, Europeans that don\'t Play in NHL/AHL first time they try, players that have threatend to defect or hold out, or Players on 1 way contracts that have to make the team or spend the year in the AHL... I Took Corey Perry, Kurtis Foster 2 years ago when they were in the AHL and Micheal Cammillari 4 years ago and Josh Harding last year just because they are top prospects on 2 way contracts that were under peoples radar cause they didn\'t make the teams outta camp and had a chance to make an impact later in the season... which all have done for me...

Only 3 Players I\'ve miss on were Patrick Stefan (but he picked up FW and 20+ pts) I had him 2 years before dropping, Branko Radjiovic (got like 30+ PTS and ok other stats) before I dropped him after 2 years and Jason King... who i had when he was Extreamly hot and I traded him away the start of the next season like 3 days before he signed in Europe.... that trade was a 3 Team Trade... I moved Jason King, Pasi Nurminen (healthy at the time)& Marc Denis and received Kari Lehtonen, Marc-Andre Bergeron (coulda been Dimiti Kalinin but the other guy thought Kalinin would do better) and Fedor Tytin... of course that was also the lockout year, so with the rosters on hold King never came back and Nurminen tore his ACL and never recovered...

I\'d aviod Vorobiev unless your allowed to drop him and don\'t aquire him if it costs more than last pick or anouther player

So you figure he\'s probably not coming back to the NHL any time soon?

I dunno what his status is... just he\'s always been a big quesion mark on how he will play or if he will play...

he had a blowup with hawks management i believe and said they were unfair to russians so i wouldnt expect him back anytime soon, and definately not with the hawks

Wow, too bad. I really thought he was looking good when he first started playing.

On the other hand I am relieved because I can feel fairly confident dropping him now so that I have room for another signing.

I haven\'t heard he\'s coming back, but it could still happen.

That being said, I am in the middle of writing some parts of this summer\'s SCORE Forecaster and one of the teams I am doing is Chicago. Vorobiev was NOT one of the 40 players I was given to write about...and those guys are pretty thorough.
