Default Hedman

Just looking for information/opinions on Hedman. He appears to be the top defensive option for Tampa, but I am seeing no love for him on the PP (less than 30 seconds a game so far.) Should I be worried? Is his name still worth something? Will he ever "break-out?"

Thanks in advance

Hedman and patience go hand in hand. I think the big guy is trying to sure up his game in his own end, and his offensive game is secondary to him at this point. I don't know if he will break out this season or not, but his talent is undeniable. I would expect a thirty something point season from him this year, with a move into the forties, next year.

Default Tampa PP

Thinking Hedman's main problem is depth on the PP.

Tampa seems to run an umbrella type PP, with St. Louis manning the point, Stamkos & Lecavalier to either side.

With those types of players taking up the majority of the quality PP time, Hedman ends up with the scraps.

Probably gonna have to wait for Martin St. Louis to retire before Hedman gets any serious consideration for the PP1

i know it's early but his shots on goal is already better this season.a possible positive sign.
i'm thinking his pp time will come after he signs his new contract. i don't think tampa could afford to re-sign him if he was putting up 50 pts a year hence very little pp time.
