My first thread...

In a points only league (1 point for each goal or pass), what would be your ranking in terms of points, only for this year??

My ranking for this year only:
Phaneuf
EJ
Zidlicky
Ian White
M. Carle
Bieksa
Del Zotto

I'm pretty sure about Phaneuf, but I really don't know about the rest...EJ and Zidlicky have prime time on PP and are the #1 def of their team but playing for horrible team.
White and Carle have interesting upside and playing for better team but play behind either Lidstrom/Kronwall or Pronger/Timonen/Meszaroj
Bieksa and Del Zotto look easily the last ones for me.

I can understand for EJ, but choosing between Zidlicky, Carle and White seems to me very random. What is your reasoning?

For this year,I like Ian Whites opportunity to put up points with Lidstrom and Zidlicky is on an offensivley challenged team and is semi injury prone,Carle if he gets the chance can put up points but the question is how big of a chance does he get?

For the long term,I liek Carle more because he is young and is a good puck mover and eventually he gets his chance,White isnt a pure puck mover but should still be in a good situation given his age and the fact he is a two-way guy who can shoot the puck so he will almost always be given a chance,Zidlicky is older and as he gets older his body gets worse and eventually Minny is gunna look elsewhere for a puckmover and most likely sooner rather then later
