For next year only, I can draft Buffy with my 1st overall pick or trade a 4th for Gonchar and use that 1st to get a Thomas, Spezza or Marchand type player.

I want to win next yr, team and cats in sig... Who does better?

Buffy was very underwhelming in the 2nd half and I feel like now that teams know to watch him, he's pretty screwed. What do you guys think?

Underwhelming? He *increased his SOG* totals in the 2nd half of the season vs. the first. Didn't get the bounces etc.. but he was far from underwhelming as well. He shot at like low 300 pace early in the season vs. like 390-400SOG pace the second half. Easily would take him

Hmm this is tough. I'm not a Gonchar fan. He's won what he's needed to win, he has his money and he's playing in an Ottawa team in a major rebuild. He isn't the same player he once was.

Buff on the other hand just got his first big contract and well I think he will live up to expectation.

But in this scenario since you want to win I'd trade the 4th for Gonchar and use the 1st for Thomas. I wouldnt take Spezza, too much headaches if your contending.

Just noticed you have Rask as well. This locks Boston's goalie tandem for the year guaranteeing you a bountiful of points no matter what.

Buff should get about 10 points more than Gonchar but I dont feel thats enough of an upgrade to pass on Thomas.

yea as I want no part off Markov of back to back ACL tears and Oshie's offensive potential is limited in STL with McDOnald-Stewart-Berglund-Shattenkirk-Pietrangelo running show on the PP.
