Not that's it necessary, but I'm on board the huberdeau train.

Another good thing to keep in mind is that Huberdeau became the 6th Forward to win both his playoffs MVP and the Memorial Cup MVP joining Taylor Hall, Corey Perry, Derek Roy, Brad Richards and Danny Groulx (Who?)

So lets hope he turns into a Hall/Perry/Richards/Roy type of high end talent and not like Groulx

I guess this is slightly off topic but I guess anyone on here including DY see kabanov or petrov etc in the top 6 as well? I think that could be at least part of the equation (or clouding of it as things look a bit full). That would give strome two more potential studs(potential a key word here) to play with on a 2nd top line... Or maybe a few get moved for another top d man? I guess my original answe works ( grab both hubs and strome hehe) but this could either help or hinder strome whereas hubs is the go to guy in fla

Just winging it here but I could see the following in a few years

Moulson - Tavares - Okposo
Grabner - Strome - Niederreiter
Bailey - Nielsen - Parenteau

I don't think the Islanders NEED to move one of them to wing.

Either way, people worry too much about the Panthers. Sure, they used to be terrible at drafting/developing prospects but I am expecting a lot different going forward.

Huberdeau went third overall for a reason and in every game I have watched him he's proven to me that he's the better prospect (and in fantasy he also gets that winger designation).

I don't mind people choosing Strome over Hubs (I like them both) but I don't like the justifications very much.

Can't go wrong with either. I'm an isles fan and Strome will probably become the 2nd line center in a few years and play with some great budding wingers (grabner, Nino possibly) He isn't going to get the PP time that Huberdeau will get though since Tavares will be getting the big minutes and is a total work horse. Short term Huberdeau will get the chance to produce in a large role much faster then Strome. Long-term they will probably be pretty similar though. on a side note Strome got picked 2nd in my leagues prospect draft this year (I was VERY happy to get Huberdeau at pick 5)
