Which players taken in the 3rd and 4th rounds of this year draft have a long shot to make the NHL but if they do, they can turn out to be great? I guess I am asking "who is high risk, high reward"?

If you're focusing exclusively on the 3rd and 4th rounds...

Catenacci, Rau, Shore, Nermark, Didier, St. Croix, Archambault come to mind. Some obviously have better chance of making NHL than others but all have pretty high upsides.

In round 5 Kichton, Ambroz, Friberg probably qualify, and in round 6 Daniel Pribyl for sure.

none of these guys are high risk though. It won't take much if anything to get them, os it's little risk at all.

what rounds were Rask and Kucherov selected? They are boom or bust-type players, but I don't recall the rounds they were selected...same goes for Grimaldi, imo, but I think all three of those guys were 2nd rounders (could be wrong, though).

I have to agree with some of the players already mentioned, especially St. Croix and Rau.
