Default Bourdon, Staal, or White

I am in a keeper pool that counts defense Goals, Assists, Plus/Minus, and Penalty Minutes.

How would you rank Luc Bourdon, Marc Staal, and Ian White?

Staal
Bourdon
White

I\'d guess mostly basied on teams they are on, and where they fit it... not really talent...

Bourdon
White
Staal

Staal is a kind of Chris Phillips ! Can take a shot in very, very deep keepers leagues !

White actually has experience and was pretty effective last year...26pts and a +8. White is soon to be 23 and once the Leafs can unload Kubina, he will be the QB of the 2nd PP unit (if McCabe / Kaberle ever get off the ice) He showed some creativity and, playing in a hockey crazy market, played well under preasure.

If you have to wait 5 years for Bourdon and 3-4 years for Vlasic, why not take White? I don\'t see the point in holding onto players for 4-5 years HOPING they develop into prime time point producers, it seems too long to wait, when you could have a 33 - 40 pt producer next year...

The Leafs unloading Kubina is a HUGE assumption, and not one that I see happening any time soon. I think White will be stuck as the #4 defenseman for at least 2-3 more seasons... potentially even the #5 man if Colaiacovo realizes his full potential and stays healthy.

Fantasy-wise, White\'s stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yep- as are most of Toronto\'s young blueliners. There\'s a good discussion on this in the Stralman thread.

Anyways, Staal is going to be an offensive beast. Just watch. Vlasic, not so much.

I still like Bourdon the best in terms of offensive production, but his two-way play isn\'t going to be anywhere near as sound as Staal\'s. Not that that matters in a pool.

Eric or Mark Staal an offensive beast? I\'m a little bit confused. I thought that Mark Staal was going to be an excellent defensemen, but not an offensive one.

I think Bugg was talking about Marc Staal... but I thought didn\'t have such a huge upside.
