Just wondering if Bryzgalov will finally be given the starting job in Anaheim next year. Everything points to yes, but with Giguere having a huge year and successful playoffs, would it make sense for them to cut him loose? I know he will command a nice raise, but solid goaltending IS the foundation of a successful franchise, so is paying $4M+ for a proven winner that bad?
I have him in my keeper pool and I\'ve hung onto him for a couple of years now, just wondering if he will finally get his shot or if Burke will pay up for Giggy...he\'s not the type of GM to overspend on anyone, but you never know. |

Hello Habber:
I wondered the same thing as you and came to the same conclusions. If Giguere tests free agency then Bryz becomes the starter. If Giguere resigns then Bryz could be traded and there are several teams looking for starting goaltenders. I am hoping that he gets his chance in Anaheim. |
