Sami Salo (achilles tendon) continues to practice with the Canucks.
Salo suffered a torn achilles tendon in the summer and subsequently had surgery to repair the damage. He has yet to miss a practice or workout with the Canucks in the last three weeks and that bodes well for his recovery. Salo may not play this season due to salary cap restrictions with the Canucks but his recovery has been ahead of schedule. Stay tuned.

Good question. He is sitting on the wire and would make a nice pick up if he plays.

If someone will take Bieksa, than I think he comes back in and plays some substantial minutes on the PP. That is a big IF, though...

I doubt he'll see top PP time - the Canucks PP has been very good - why would they mess with that? Salo is a great 2 way dman so I suspect he'll be played in a more defensive role. After he gets back in the swing of things game-wise, I think he'll produce at a 30 point clip at best.
