Hi guys I have been going back and forth with an owner about my Seguin and his Letang. As the offer sits right now he would get my Seguin-Phaneuf-Berglund and I will get his Letang and his OEL. I am currently contending but always have an eye on the future and I feel that this trade is good for me in both aspects. I currently have Malkin-Toews-Getzlaf at C so losing Seguin will not hurt me. Should I accept??

I think for one with Malkin out you can't afford to make this trade, especially if you're in contention. I also don't think I would make this deal if Malkin was flying... I know you get Letang but man you give up Seguin and Berlglund to get him. I also think you are staked on D and are in no hurry to give up a solid guy like Seguin for Letang.

I also think that the Seguin/Phaneuf/Berglund side will get more points before the end of the season compared to Letang/OEL.

Looking at the future I would take Seguin and Berglund over Letang and OEL. (with your current roster)

Any thoughts at all to dealing Malkin? Why not send him to a rebuilding squad and see if you can turn the assets into a run for the Championship. Sounds like not only is he going to miss the rest of this season, but worst case scenario....he misses a huge chunk of next year too.

Your team looks ridiculously strong already, escept maybe in goal? A short term fix?
