Default Letang for Ehrhoff and Burns?

So I'm considering a trade that I'm pretty sure will be accepted. What do you think?

I'd give up:
Ehrhoff & Burns

for
Letang or Doughty

I currently sit in 5th out of 10 with a solid chance to move up. We keep 20 guys next season.

thoughts?

That's a prety good deal.

Burns has been wicked this year, BUT has had injury problems in the past. Ehrhoff is pretty good too.

BUT you're getting two pretty elite Dmen in Letang and Doughty.

I would rather get Doughty, as Letang has had a few years before without producing, and that would make me a little nervous. However this year he is proving himself in a HUGE way.

That is one the best trades I have ever seen in all honesty, not sure what the other guy is thinking. Get off the boards and accept that right now before he changes his mind!

Either would be a significant upgrade over your current D. I'd go for Doughty first, if you're doing this, but you have to throw in a draft pick on top of those two.

Convincing me to give up an elite guy like Doughty is a tough sell and Ehroff + Burns wouldn't do it. What's my motivation?

I think that is overpayment for Doughty. He's good sure. But don't overrate him. Personally, I'd keep Burns. I see him being a 25 goal scorer.

If you do end up doing the trade well do not by any means add a draft pick as another poster suggested. You don't need to.

Not to mention were I you, I wouldn't want to give up two d-men. Does this other GM have a need anywhere else? 1 d-man, 1-forward and a pick might do it for doughty.

I would do that in an instant. For either of them.

Ehrhoff is good but Doughty and then Letang are much better. I'm not convinced about Burns.

I think Ehrhoff is pretty good... But I think that he LOOKS better than he is, because he's in Vancouver.

Ehrhoff is in a contract year (so is Bieksa) so is he going to stay in Vancouver? I'm not so sure that he is... And if thats the case, I think his value takes a hit by going virtually anywhere else.

I think it's a good sell high of Ehrhoff and Burns... I would definitely trade both for Doughty (my first choice) and I think it's a fairly even amount to have to pay for Letang... Bordering on almost too much for Letang in my books.
