Since Boston signed him to a 7-year contract his offence has gone south. Guess he does not plan on having to work on putting the puck in the net for that money.

I don't know what people are excepting from Chara. Yeah he should be scoring more goals, but the most points he's ever gotten in a season is 51, and he's almost 34 years old now. He's always been more of a "shut-down" defenseman that an offensive one (other than his booming shot), and it doesn't help that the forwards in front of him suck and can't score.
