Kyle Quincey makes $3.125M this year according to nhlscap.com which is where I pulled my salaries. Maybe that is off, because nhlnumbers.com has Quincey making $3.0M.
Let's assume Quincey's $3,125,000 number is correct though for the sake of argument. Quincey then makes $38,110 per game (3,125,000/82). Quincey has played 21 total games so far, so he has only earned $800,305 year to date. This is why he wasn't eligible for my trivia question above. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Volchenkov makes $4.25M this year or $51,829 per game. With 26 games played, he's earned $1,347,560.98. He has one point on the year (and a -8 rating for good measure). Fellow Devil Colin White makes $3.0M this year or $36,585 per game. With 35 games played, he's earned $1,280,487.80. He has one point on the year (and a -10 rating for good measure). With the bad contracts listed above for the Devils and the stats for the 2 defensemen above, NJ is hurting big time.

Quote:
While this is a minor case, that is the joys you get when you take part in a 30 team Y2Y salary cap as well as a 30 Team Dynasty that deals with cap hit. Front loaded contracts are the worst in Y2Y unless you're sailing on the tail end of the contract. While cap hit contracts usually softens the blow of the contracts for your elite stars. I remember having a discussion where at the end of the day if you put all of the salaries in the excel, Y2Y slightly edges out Cap Hit in terms of Cap Room. GMG
