It's killing me that Karlsson is on the waiver wire. I've been trying to package a defenseman and a forward for an upgraded forward in a 2 for 1, but no such luck yet. I would then pick up Karlsson with the open spot.

Otherwise, should I drop Myers for Karlsson? Any better drop options?

Personally I would be dropping Phaneuf in a heart beat for Karlsson. But I do like your tactic in a two for one deal.

Let me guess that your trying to trade Kovie and no one is biting??? Try Morrow and Pietrangalo for and aging player like Iginla??? I find in a 2 for 1 trade no one will give you a young up and comer but thier willing to part with a vet for some youth (not saying Morrow is young and not saying who ever has Iginla will part with him that easy either)!! Just my 2 cents

I've been laying off trying to deal Kovie for about 6 weeks now, nobody is interested. I've been trying to deal Pietrangelo or Phaneuf and one of Savard, Krejci, Morrow. The only return offer I've had is Hemsky so far. With Phaneuf's name, it kills me to just drop him.

I'd drop Seabrook before Phaneuf. Going down the 2 for 1 route is definitely the best way.
